WEBMASTER WANTED!

We are looking for someone in our church to serve as Webmaster for the TUMC website. Responsibilities are to work with ministry teams to populate the various tabs on the website, maintain the website with announcements, special or upcoming programs, make connections with the various social networking options, and develop the key words that will get us recognized on search engines. We are also looking at ways to do some web-based ministry. Don Lewellen has graciously offered to do some orientation and training on our website to whomever is willing to take on this important role.

Our website is an Outreach Ministry. The goal is to not only make TUMC’s website pop, but also to serve God, our community, and our congregation. If you are a tech guru through and through and are interested in using web technology to spread the word of God, contact Lisa Cairy at 754-1583 or 451-9318.

 

What we do outside the church.

We have Tumc T-Shirts that you can purchase for activities out in the community.

Order forms are available in the narthex and the church office. Prices are $8 for youth sizes, $10 for adult sizes and $13 for extended sizes. Please make checks payable to Linda Marvel. Order forms accompanied by check or cash can be given to Linda, left in the church office, or put in the collection plate. The following are just some of the things that we are doing and will continue to do….

* Kids Camp – VBS (July)

*Tumwater 4th of July Parade. We sponsor a float and have walkers and people that sit on the float.

*Co-ed Softball Team

*We have a Stephen Ministry team of people that help those in times of crisis and change.

*We our in a partnership with Michael T. Simmons Elementary and have been involved in giving supplies and helping out with the Family Fun Night and we are working on a Before School Intervention Tutoring Program.
